Palaeontology chemical preparation Laboratory

 

The laboratory is equipped for the extraction of silicified or phosphatic fossils from calcareous matrix by using HCl, acetic or formic acids. The lab. has the capability to accomplish consolidation of fossils, whitening with ammonium chloride, as well as molding and casting from fossils with size ranging from 0.5 cm to 1.5 m.
